ANYWAYS!
It's been too long! And this is where I say im so sorry, make up some excuses and say ill be back however-many-times-a-week posting and such, but I'm not going to promise anything. I will say sorry, but I don't have an excuse. I could spend my evenings blogging, video-ing, and editing but I don't, I go out or stay in on facebook. (plus...im super tired after a days work I don't want to take all my makeup off and redo it, or refresh myself for an OOTD post)

My Blue Hair

Hey everyone!!
This will be a post on the hair that I got done for prom back in May. This was the first time I had ever dyed my hair, so I thought I would share my experience with you guys!
 I was going to prom with a  mermaid-y vibe (Coincidentally enough, when we got there the theme was under the sea!!) so I decided that I wanted temporary blue hair. My amazing hairstylist-neighbor went and got some turquoise and blue dye by Tigi I believe...It was a white tube with silver writing, and it was temporary. No mixing, just squirt it in a bowl and paint it on the foils. She showed me some techniques for doing the highlights, and I chose to have some just blue, some just turquoise, and some mixed. Took about an hour to get them all in, and it had to sit for about 20-30 minutes, which flew by because we talked to much hahaha. Then came the time to wash it out with a color shampoo/conditioner. I had virgin hair before this, meaning I had done no dying whatsoever, (aside from wash out highlighter wands) so we were a bit worried it would slide out, but low-and-behold! It worked great and turned out fantastic!!

Loved the color, loved the service, (Like, of course! Thanks Katlyn!) and LOVED wearing it and getting weird looks. Hahaha no really, it's quite funny! And sometimes I would even forget why they are looking at me weird, and I would look in a mirror later and be like OH right...I have blue hair.

In September, be sure to look out for another hair color post because my hair will be turning PURPLE on my 18th birthday!!!

Spring Wedding

This is not an outfit I've worn recently, but I forgot to upload it!
My cousin got married in April. He married a fantastic girl, the wedding was beautiful and everything was great! I had the honor to play the song that the bride walked down the isle to, on piano. (Was so nervous, but then out in the hallway I was doing ninja kicks in heels. Because I did it!)

I'm happy for them, and I know they are super happy with each other!

Here's the outfit...

Makeup was purples a blues, with pink cheeks and lips. Really doesn't show up well on an overcast day.

Piano Recital

Was able to get my hands on this GORGEOUS green dress for my senior piano recital. Paired it with nude heels and gold accessories. 

Wish I had gotten more pictures, but oh well. I'm sure I'll be wearing it again this summer!

Also, watch out for a new makeup tutorial for the look I'm wearing here. So pretty up close!

Senior Prom Night!

Hey everyone!!

So this past weekend was Senior Prom!! It was fantabulous.
I found my dress at an amazing shop called Lure in downtown Wilmington when I took a trip there. It's a high-low dress, with flowing strips of fabric as the skirt. I love the ocean, and everything about it, so it immediately reminded me of a mermaids tail and I decided then and there to dress up like a mermaid for the prom, even though I didn't even know the theme till I got there. Turns out the theme was under the sea so it worked out perfectly!
To go with my mermaid-self, I decided to have my amazing hairstylist neighbor temporarily dye some streaks of hair blue and teal, and she styled it for me as well, doing beautiful beachy waves all gathered into a side pony with some braids. Will provide the picture of inspiration for that right below!

  For my nails, (will upload pics and a tutorial soon!) I got a manicure (my VERY first one ever!) with just white polish, and then did a sponged gradient of gold-green-tirquoise with gold glitter thrown on it. It looked so cool, I can't wait to show y'all! Also, my toes were just painted coral with gold glitter.

And of course, the MAKEUP! If you follow my youtube you'll know that I uploaded a couple of trial makeup looks for prom, but in the end I didn't really like any of them, and I was stuck with winging it the night of. Thankfully, after talking about it with my neighbor when she did my hair, I pictured something with more gold and color, and also sacrificed using my Maybellene Coral Crush lipstick.  So the eyes were gold with tirquoise and purple in the crease/outer v, and then green on the bottom as well as gold glitter with a flushed/bronzed face and pink lips with gold shimmers. It turned out so well, very exited to film the tutorial for it!
